I have waaaaay too many blogs, and I really need to keep track of all of them. I promised to blog more, but with three blogs, I think posting everything in all three is counter-productive.

So now, in an attempt to make things "simpler" (though really, it's more work for me), I'll try to give each blog a distinct purpose and personality. So here it goes.

RenRobles.com will be for my various writings: Short stories, reviews, opinion pieces, and the like. I'll also share stuff that strikes me, whether it's a song, a comic, a news article, or even a PostSecret postcard. I'll very rarely post something personal there (from now on), unless it's something super important and life-changing.

My Multiply blog will be for general rants and "emo" moments, as well as memes, surveys, and the like. Generally, it'll be a place for me to express myself during those spur-of-the-moment times when I just feel the need to say something. As such, most (if not all) Multiply blog entries will be filtered for friends only.

Lastly, my LiveJournal is... pretty much dead. I really just use the account to read my friends' friends-locked entries.

As usual, all three blogs will be used for shameless self-promotion.

So there. That should clear things up... I hope.

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Just the first three questions. Haha. Wala lang, just thought they were interesting questions.

1. What the first stage play you ever did? How old were you then?

First semester, Senior year, college. Joined blueREP on a whim, ended up as Mr. Harry McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie. This was 2003. I was 20 when rehearsals started and 21 when the show went on.

2. Among all the productions that you did, which one is your favorite and why?

Merrily We Roll Along, both times I did it. Hands down. The blueREP version was sort of my graduation from merely dabbling into theater to getting into it full time. There was a lot at stake when the production started, and throughout the process, it really opened up my eyes as to what I should be doing. The bonds I forged through the process of the production may be some of the strongest within blueREP.

Then there's the Rep Workshop version, where I played Charley Kringas. This was felt like my graduation from college theater into the "real world" of professional theater, so to speak. (Not that I've done much professional work since then; I'm back with blueREP after all.) The hard work that went into it, as well as all the passion that a good number of the workshoppers put into it, certainly made this a memorable and emotional experience for me. And the friendships formed through this experience, particularly with my fellow "old friends," will last a lifetime.

3. What do you think will your job be right now if you're not doing what you do? (Tama ba?)
Definitely nothing corporate. Call center if I'm desperate (which probably means I've failed to find a job for five years), but more likely, I'd be teaching or tutoring.

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc).
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press play.
4. For every question, type the song that's playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button.
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.

Opening Credits: Getting Out - Jason Robert Brown (pwede)
Waking Up: That'll Show Him - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum OBC (eh? So I wake up and realize... eh?)
First Day of School: Strange and Lovely Song Reprise - The Likes of Us OBC (sounds so melancholy... guess I hate school)
Falling in Love: Just Go - A New Brain OBC (I want person to leave but person won't leave because of love... aww... how sweet, actually)
Fight Song: Brave Sir Robin - Monty Python's Spamalot OBC (such a wussy fight, then)
Breaking Up: My Love - Justin Timberlake (eh? Irony, I guess?)
Prom: What Would You Do With a BA in English/It Sucks to Be Me - Avenue Q OBC (well, after breaking up, I guess it sucks to be me)
Life's just ok: Last Midnight (from Into the Woods) - Billy Porter (wait, how does this mean life's just ok?)
Mental Breakdown: Mrs. Taylor's Lullaby - Bat Boy OBC (I'm so nuts I believe there are monsters around...)
Driving: Hamburg Song - Keane (lyrics such a melancholy song again... baka driving at night in the rain, which triggers the flashback...)
Flashback: Did You Get My Message? - Jason Mraz (so I guess we broke up because person didn't get my message?)
Getting Back Together: Jacqueline - Franz Ferdinand (huh? "It's always better on holiday"... so I guess we get back together during a holiday?)
Birth of Child: America - West Side Story Motion Picture Soundtrack (umm... adoption of a Puerto Rican child in America?)
Wedding: Good Directions - Billy Currington (a happy country song... that works.)
Finale Battle: Sisyphus - Myths and Hymns OBC (final battle seems like an impossible task... I like)
Death Scene: Quiet Please, There's a Lady on Stage - The Boy From Oz OBC (okay. no comment na lang)
Funeral Song: Volcano - Damien Rice (syempre Damien Rice di ba?)
End Credits: The Ballad of Floyd Collins - Floyd Collins OBC (sure, why not)
